SGCD members come to the annual Deco seminar and exhibition to meet buyers and decorators in the industry.
Deco 2007 attendees will include those manufacturing and decorating dinnerware, glassware, beverage containers, cosmetic containers, tile, giftware and promotional products.

The Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators is a 46- year-old international organization dedicated to the growth of glass and ceramic decorating worldwide. Eighty percent of the Society's members are located in the United States. The remainder are from many countries including Canada, Mexico, England, Germany, France and Asian countries.
The organization represents every segment of glass and ceramic decoration including fine china, stoneware, tumblers, food and cosmetic containers, automotive and architectural glass, furniture, mirrors, tile and collectibles. A recent survey showed the following categories of products decorated by SGCD member companies:
Promotional products 52%
Collectibles and giftware 49%
Beverage and cosmetic containers 48.5%
Casual and formal tableware 44.5%
Tile 26%
Current members include manufacturers, decorators, technical personnel, marketing professionals, designers and industry suppliers. All decorating technologies are represented including screen and pad printing, decal, labeling, precious metals, UV decorating, digital printing, etching and functional coatings.
A recent survey of SGCD membership found that:
70.1% use furnaces, kilns and/or lehrs
66.3% use screen printing equipment
44.1% use photographic equipment
91.3% of attendees have purchasing authority
Most attendees at SGCD's annual seminar and trade show attend to meet vendors and suppliers
The Annual Seminar and Exhibition
Industry buyers from around the world attend SGCD's annual meeting and exposition.
Technical seminar consists of peer reviewed papers in several technical areas. To minimize overlap with the technical program, exclusive exhibit hours are scheduled.
The SGCD show attracts major suppliers to the decorating industry, including several firms from overseas. With a full seminar program and first step program that attracts attendees on their own merits, the overall event is expected to attract a larger number of new attendees as well as regular attendees from the United States and around the world.

Booth Equipment, Services and Exhibit Hall Facilities
Booth Equipment: The exhibit booths are 10' x 10' (approximately 3.2 x 3.2 meters)in size. SGCD will provide an 8-foot high draped back wall and 33 inch draped side dividers plus an identification sign including company name and booth number. If you do not need pipe and drape or the company sign, please inform the service contractor on the form provided in the service kit that you will receive in January.
Electricity and lighting: The exhibit hall will have overhead lighting. The official service contractor will provide electrical hook-ups to each booth, upon request. Forms will be provided in the exhibitor service kit.
