This association was registered as a Non-Profit Organisation in accordance to Hong Kong law in September 1983, and as a limited company under the Companies Ordinance. The name of the company is the "Graphic Arts Association of Hong Kong", thereafter referred to as the Association.
Mission
To promote the dissemination of printing technology information through regularly scheduled printed matters, seminars and activities.
Develop and monitor progress of training and education in printing, publishing, design and related industries, organize and assist in conducting related courses.
Promote and protect the legal rights of employees in the printing, publishing, design and related industries.
Introduce new technology to persons in the industries, and upgrade necessary skills.
Reflect members' viewpoints through communication with the legislative body, government department, related associations and academic organizations.
To interact and visit overseas graphic arts organizations, and introduce the scope of the Associations to these organizations.
Raise funding for a charitable fund to assist deserving persons and establish scholarship to develop talent in printing and publishing.
