Offset Lithography/Printing
Offset Lithography/Printing

Print requests that require color ink, specialty papers, custom folding or binding, or long press runs are produced on offset lithography equipment. Typical offset jobs are posters, brochures, invitations, and covers.

All offset lithography jobs require a pre-production planning meeting with the publications manager and related staff such as a graphic designer, desktop publisher, or communications specialist. Budgetary information and administrative approval are necessary for jobs that are distributed to a wide audience or are mailed to the community. The planning meeting can be scheduled by calling 714-628-5952.

· The offset presses used are: two, two-color Hamada used for brochures, booklet covers, posters and other color jobs; and a multilith press used for envelopes, color postcards, invitations and large carbonless jobs.

· Timelines for offset jobs vary by complexity, quantity and press availability. Publications staff will work with you to match your request with production timelines. There are many options to deliver the job to your satisfaction but the earlier you plan, the better your chance of receiving the job to your specifications.
