Print World: The World of Shorter-Run Printing is, a Toronto-based trade show event that specializes in shorter-run and smaller-format printing. It is the biggest of its kind in North America, welcoming over 10,000 attendees and over 200 exhibitors to the 2006 show.
The concept of Print World is unique and different. By restricting exhibiting presses to 29ǃ? or smaller, the trade show attracts suppliers with equipment especially for the shorter-run print market. This includes 4-up and 6-up machines and smaller, digital printers, and all manner of products and services for the shorter-run market. The focus is on the ǃ?small shopsǃ?, including quick printers, copy shops, in plants, and other small commercial shops.
And though the show aims small, it isnǃÙtǃÓPrint World occupies over 125,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Direct Energy Centre (formerly National Trade Centre). It attracts visitors from all over the world, including all10 Canadian provinces, 19 American states, and for the first time in 2006, a number of international countries, including some from as far away as Finland, United Kingdom, Spain, India and New Zealand.
Exhibitors include the biggest brands on the international scene. Print World 2006 welcomed Adobe, AGFA, Brandtjen & Kluge, Buskro, Canon, Epson, GBC, Heidelberg, Hewlett-Packard, KBA, Kodak, Konica Minolta, Van Son, and Xerox among the over 160 exhibitors [to see a full list, click here].
